David J. Metcalf is a member of The Florida Bar, the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of California (currently inactive).  After beginning his practice in San Francisco in 1987 with one of the countrys largest law firms, he returned to his native Tallahassee and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990.  In 1993 he was admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and has practiced actively in both Florida and Georgia since that time.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia. 

Mr. Metcalf primarily practices in the areas of Construction Law, Business Transactions, Real Estate, Complex Litigation and Surety Law.  He earned his bachelors degree from Florida State University as a triple major, graduating with honors in 1983, and received his law degree with honors from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1987.
